I’ve always been a fan of Ancient Greece and love the Greek islands to holiday (given the time and budget). So The Pillars of Hercules is wonderful escapism for me and although a lot of the build is very old-school, it’s so well done.
For romance, it’s perfect. Take your loved one on a boat ride across the SIM and see the sights, it’s really lovely! Find a place to cuddle – there are so many you’ll be spoilt for choice, you can even find a bath with a fabulous view if you want to spoil them. Discover hideaway places, they are everywhere. One example is the stunning Medusa’s Cave, with the equally stunning Medusa (she sends out a continuous pulse of energy so yeah, that was a pun).
You can lose yourself here. It’s a location that’s been around for some time in SL, my Primary isn’t a spring chicken and she’s known of it almost since her first rezday. However, that doesn’t detract from the fact that it’s a wonderful place to visit. It has continued to offer beauty, romance and some Greek history for SL avatars for many years and I really hope it will continue to do so for many more.
If you haven’t been yet, you should. Fire up a nice sunset and watch the colour of the buildings come to life as you stroll around a mediterranean paradise.
